Mountain biking’s ultimate summer festival
Whistler’s annual Crankworx festival might well be the largest gathering of mountain bike riders in the world. With roots dating back to 1998, when the
seminal Whistler International Classic Mountain Bike Festival
opened the park, the annual Crankworx event has come
to attract huge crowds of riders each summer to North
America’s premier winter ski resort, which is also almost
certainly the premier mountain biking resort in the world.
Situated high in the coastal mountain range of British
Columbia, some two hours by car or shuttle from Vancouver
International Airport, Whistler draws thousands of riders
from all over the planet to ride over 50 of the most popular
trails in the world in one of the most enjoyable summer climates you’ll find anywhere.
