The British Columbia-based bike company known as Norco has been manufacturing bikes of all types and sizes for over 50 years. Norco offers city bikes to downhill race bikes and everything in between. Norco is clearly no
stranger to building shred-worthy bikes, so when we were
asked by readers to test more entry-level bikes, we knew
which company to call. We quickly got on the phone with our
friends in B.C. to ask for a trail-ready mountain bike in the
sub-$2000 category. The bike they sent us was the Fluid
FS 7. 2+. The Fluid is a plus-sized, full-suspension trailbike
designed to balance value and performance.
WHO IS IT MADE FOR?
Norco offers the Fluid in a few different models, including a
26-inch-wheeled version for smaller riders, 27.5- and 29-inch
versions for trail riding, a hardtail model and, of course, the
27. 5 plus-sized full-suspension version we tested here. The
Fluid FS 7. 2+ comes packed with features new riders are
looking for and is also suitable for more advanced riders who
need to stay within a budget. It’s important to keep in mind
that you may not get everything on your wish list considering
the Fluid’s entry-level price, but if this bike sits at the top of
your budget, you’ll find it can be a great tool for most jobs.
