“Trail Mix” is our selection of the best photos sent to us by riders from all over the world. Every month we love sifting through the photos of riders out on the trail doing what they do best—enjoying this awesome sport. If you’d like to see your photo in the pages of MBA, you can submit them by following the directions at the end. Happy trails!
HUBBY ON A HILL
I took this shot of my husband, Doug Whittaker, enjoying the
views on our way to the summit of Mt. Jupiter in the Olympic
Mountains in Washington State. We biked as far as the trail
allowed before stashing our bikes in the bushes. We then continued our hike to the summit. Why hike what you can bike?
Somewhere in Washington
Spent a week up at Kingdom Trails in Vermont with some
of my Connecticut MTB friends. Although some of our friends
couldn’t stay the whole week, Stephanie Cleary, Jonathan
“Zimmy” Ziemnicki (on the left) and I were fortunate to be able
to stay the whole time. This photo was taken when the three of
us took a short break at Heaven’s Bench to enjoy the views of
the beautiful countryside. Although it’s not your typical action
shot, the looks on our faces give a good indication of how much
fun we had! Thanks, and I enjoy your magazine!
START ’EM YOUNG
This is my son, 8-year-old Brennen Rentas, riding his
Specialized Riprock at Jack Brooks MTB Park in Hitchcock, Texas,
just south of Houston. He loves riding in the woods, just like his
