“Trail Mix” is our selection of the best photos sent to us by riders from all over the world. Every month we love sifting through the photos of riders out on the trail
doing what they do best—enjoying this awesome sport. If you’d
like to see your photo in the pages of MBA, you can submit them
by following the directions at the end. Happy trails!
STOP AND SMELL THE POPPIES
My son Ori, age 10 and an avid mountain biker, is biking in
the Shoham Forest, 25 minutes southeast of Tel Aviv in Israel.
The area consists of over 20 miles of natural and “handcrafted”
singles with a variety of vegetation and archaeological
excavation sites. This area, now near Israel’s commercial
center, was also part of a major trade route dating back over a
thousand years. We chose this specific singletrack to enjoy the
exceptional, blazing, bright-red blossoming of poppy anemone
flowers (aka Kalaniot) unique to the end of the Israeli winter.
BUILD IT LIKE MBA
Riding my version of April’s MBA feature (the one
comparing the SRAM GX and Shimano XT). It’s an Intense
Carbine with full XTR and Enve wheels.
Flo-Mo (Flower Mound), Texas
Here I am enjoying mountain biking bliss while riding the Sella
Ronda Tour in the Dolomites, Italy. It’s about as far as you can get
from the “mountains” we find in Florida.
