Take a seat: A saddle is the most personal choice on a bike. Once you find one that
works for you, you can stick with it. We fell in love with this one from Syncros during
our test of the Scott Genius 710 in our February 2012 issue. It’s going on many more
of our test bikes from here on out.
Reflections: There’s no easier way to pick out a beginner rider than seeing one with
reflectors riding down the trail. If you’re not using your bike for commuting in traffic,
you don’t need the extra visibility either. A flat-blade screwdriver works well for
removing the plastic bit that holds wheel reflectors on.
