MARCH 2015 / MOUNTAIN BIKE ACTION 45
Helping or hurting the sport?
Mountain bikers are a community of individuals who love their regular rides but are always looking for the next great singletrack. The perfect trail is no more than a
couple tires wide and lined with lush green leaves and damp dirt
that offer a perfect combination of technical chutes and smooth,
rolling berms. We imagine ripping down them at higher speeds
than we’re actually capable of, only stopping to share high fives
with our buddies. These are the trails we dream of, and we know
they’re out there. For better or worse, our passion for the sport
drives us to search for pristine trails that consistently deliver the
perfect ride. Trails with hidden or low-key trailheads have sprung
from this desire.
The Mountain Bike Action crew has spent countless hours
riding the pristine trails surrounding the Tahoe, California, region.
They’re the kind of trails that make us consider taking a year
