WOMO DESIGNS ACCESSORY
MOUNTING SYSTEM
Mountain bike night riders, aspiring filmmakers and those of us who
like taking directions from a GPS have
experienced two common problems:
handlebar clutter and positioning your
chosen accessory where it performs
best. WOMO Designs offers an aluminum mount and a selection of accessory kits that will eliminate both.
Tech features: The heart of the
WOMO system is a $70, 31.8-mil-
limeter universal mount in black that
is designed to accept an ever-growing
number of accessory mounting kits.
The universal mount is machined from
aluminum and weighs 2. 8 ounces.
The accessory mounting hardware is
machined out of thermoplastic and

Field test results: The universal
mount fitted easily to our aluminum
Race Face Evolve riser handlebar
and Evolve stem. Suggested torque
settings are etched on the side of
the mount. The mount’s wishbone
design left plenty of room for use
with a wider stem. We used accessory
mounts for a GoPro camera and a
NiteRider dual-beam Pro 2200 Race
headlight.
This is a high-quality mounting
product. You can see the machining
marks where the accessory mounts
attach to the bracket and the alumi-
num frame is flex-free. The same goes
for the accessory mounts. They mate
to the universal mount with a preci-
sion fit. All this makes everything
really simple to mount or remove.
The WOMO mount positions your
camera, lights or GPS out of the clutter
of brake hoses, shifter cables and anything leading to a remote switch. There
is no doubt that lights are way better
if they don’t have to shine through
cables or hoses. The GoPro, even in
its forward position, can get the front
wheel into the shot (we like that) and
still capture the trail ahead. We took
the WOMO on our regular rides for a
month straight and were never able to
rattle any of the mounts loose.
If you are going to drop $400 on
lights, another $400 on a camera or
$200 on a GPS, and the mounts that
came with the products leave you
frustrated, it makes sense to get the
most out of them by positioning them
properly. ❏
Out of the way: The WOMO mount gets
your accessories away from cables and
hoses. Our mount is designed for aluminum
handlebars, but a version is coming for
carbon fiber handlebars.
Mount what you got: The WOMO can hold
your camera, GPS or lights in position using
their mounting accessories. The bracket is
designed to hold two gadgets or one.
