Felt launched the Decree last fall on the epic trails of Riva Del Garda, Italy, the birthplace of technical mountain biking in Europe. After two years of development and
several different prototype frames, the Southern California-based company is confident that this trail crusher will be a
go-to bike for riders looking to push their limits.
We love new bikes. Getting a new bike is a feeling unlike
any other, and the Felt Decree is a bike that gives you that
new bike feeling every time you throw a leg over the top tube.
WHO IS IT MADE FOR?
The Decree FRD has a very specific rider in mind—one who
won’t be disappointed with the performance this bike brings
to the trail. It’s meant for those looking for the forgiveness of
a 5-inch-travel trailbike with absolutely no weight or pedaling
The Decree is a 140-millimeter-travel bike, so more aggressive riders will be drawn to it, although the sub-25-pound
weight is compelling for even the pickiest of weight weenies.
Our test FRD is the top-of-the-line Decree at $10,000 and
is aimed at riders who are shopping for their next dream bike.
With its low weight and high performance, the Decree can
tackle just about any trail. Potential buyers who might not want
to spend the coin on the FRD version will be able to get started
for $3500 with the aluminum Decree 30.
