“OTH is designed to be a relaxed
event for everyone,” explains Matt
Wenger, who, along with John

It is weird that two non-racers
seem to understand racing so well.
First, they know that any course
will be challenging if you put a
bunch of people on it who are racing

Hot times: Flames roared through the tree-covered canyon just days before the opening
round of the Los Angeles’ OTH series. Riders certainly weren’t burned out.
One more time: The beauty of a weekly racing series is that riders and promoters get
another chance next week. Unlike “wait until next year” events, these series can be
changed weekly to attract the largest number of riders. The Los Angeles Over The Hump
races have seen changes in the course every week. Instant evolution!
