Nighttime is the right ime. If you don’t own a set of quality
lights, you are missing out on
half the fun of mountain
biking. This month’s “Trail
Mix” celebrates riders who do
their thing while most people
are already in bed.
The Lost and Found riders braved subzero temperatures for our first annual New Year’s Eve ride on the Whiteway, an
ice-skating/Nordic-skiing loop on Lake Windermere. The temperature was minus 16 Celsius when we began the ride and
had dropped to minues 21 Celsius by the time we returned, 1 1⁄ 2 hours later. The frosty riders were Aaron Rodgers, Scott
Falk, Stacy Falk, my “cold as ice” wife Liz and me.
